Our Clinical Interns
Offering a helping hand and learning by doing.
We, at A Balanced Life LLC, value the core competencies that social workers bring to clinical practice. We care about contributing to the education of social workers and also finding ways that people in the Kansas City metropolitan area can find affordable help.

Our Social Work Interns possess a Master's Degree in Social Work from accredited universities. Each Intern is registered for and under supervision for clinical licensure in the State of Missouri and brings a unique set of skills, abilities, and knowledge that informs their clinical social work practice.

I’m interning with A Balanced Life LLC and the Pregnancy and Postpartum Resource Center, while currently working toward a Masters in Social Work at Park University. My passion for empowering and equipping parents to feel healthy and happy, and thus passing that on to future generations, excites me and ignites passion in my work.
At A Balanced Life LLC, I am providing services that support maternal mental health through working with Pregnancy and Postpartum Resource Coalition (PPRC.support) and other partnering agencies. I am available to provide education to providers wanting to know more about maternal mental health. I am also available to facilitate maternal mental health support groups, and am a trained warm-line volunteer for PPRC.

My self-care includes spending time with family and exercising healthy boundaries.
I am in the MSW program, in my specialized year, and will graduate from Park University in May 2020. I wish to pursue my clinical license after graduation. I received my BSW from Park University in 2019. I am a member of Phi Alpha Honor Society, The National Association of Social Workers, and The Council of Social Work Education.
While at A Balanced Life LLC, I will be incorporating The Kawa Model in sand tray therapy under the supervision of Jane McKinney, LCSW LSCSW. I am offering a free sand tray therapy program that consists of eight sand tray therapy sessions to build resiliency. Those interested in the program may contact Jane.
I am a mother to three children and a dog named Rocky. In my free time, I enjoy walking, trying new restaurants, listening to music, and meditation.
