Maternal Mental Health Therapy

If you are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, like you are failing and will never be the same, you are not alone. Nearly 25% of women who are pregnant or who have recently had a baby suffer from depression, anxiety, or another treatable mental illness. At A Balanced Life LLC, we hear and understand your challenges and your needs and work together collaboratively to find ways to heal that work for you.
Peripartum Support Group
An online support group for women who are pregnant; or, who have recently given birth and are experiencing anxiety, depression or unwanted thoughts or behaviors. The purpose of this group is to create a non-judgmental environment where members can share thoughts and feelings, receive support, and obtain information about postpartum mood disorders.

Day: Group meets weekly on Thursdays
Time: 11:00am - 12:30pm.
Cost: $99 for the 9 weeks (prorated for late enrollments).
Hypnobabies
A class offered through our partner, Julia (Oliphant) Sahalie, CMS-Cht, HCHI.
Hypnobabies is a 6-week comprehensive childbirth education program that utilizes medical hypnosis techniques that you and your partner can use for a an easier, shorter, and more comfortable birth. Read more about Hypnobabies at www.hypnobabieskc.com.
The program is taught by Julia (Oliphant) Sahalie, an independent childbirth hypnosis instructor and Hypno-doula who uses hypnosis and the power of our minds to heal. Julia studied midwifery for over a decade before completing more than 500 hours of hypnotherapy training at the American Academy of Hypnotherapy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is a certified medical support clinical hypnotherapist whose vision is for every woman to be supported during birth and other life passages with honor and sacred celebration.
